FPV Championship UADR Challenge 2019 Stage 2 in Zaporizhzhya

The second stage of the Ukrainian Drone Racing Championship UADR Challenge 2019 was organized in Zaporizhzhya on the territory of the Motor Sich Sports Complex, as part of the local air festival. Due to the fact that the stage was held just a week after Stage 1, namely on Saturday, May 18, many pilots did not have time to buy tickets or to fix themselves for the competition. Therefore, only 24 pilots representing 10 FPV teams from different cities of Ukraine took part in the stage. Several new pilots from Zaporizhzhya and neighboring regions also tried themselves in this championship. Despite the problems with buying tickets and a long journey of 15 hours by train, our Flymod Squad was at the competition in full.

Due to the small number of pilots, the practice flights and qualification took place at a leisurely pace. In between qualification and TOP-32, several pilots demonstrated freestyle flights with colored smoke bombs especially for the airfest audience.

Qualification results

The stage was held in a calm home environment. Ukrainian Association of Drone Racing (UADR) organized a fast track, where the fastest and most skilful pilots won.

Results of UADR Challange Stage 2 finals:

1st place - Alexander Mazur, Boryspil, QuadRat team
2nd place - Igor Butseroga, Kiev, GRP team
3rd place - Ivan Oleynik, Kyiv, GRP team
4th place - Modest Ach, Lviv, Zipper team.

On June 8 and 9 the most important event of Ukrainian FPV season is expected. UADR Challenge 2019 Stage 3 will be held in Oleshki (Kherson region), the winners of which will get the right to represent Ukraine and the opportunity to compete with the best teams of the World in TEAM UKRAINE at the DSI International Drone Sports Championship 2019 on October 10-13 in South Korea.
