Hexacopter interceptors have learned how to autonomously capture a target

Airspace (USA) has developed a hunter drone capable of automatically detecting and neutralizing a smaller drone.

As shown in the video, the hexacopter interceptor is able to patrol independently and use the identification mode to detect another quadrocopter in a given airspace (or in manual targeting mode). Airspace has also developed a special computer vision system that allows scanning visible objects, so the drone can independently distinguish between targets in the field of view and distinguish from other moving objects. When approaching a target, the hunter drone throws out a net, which is fixed at the base of the frame, entangling the alien drone. After that the caught object can be taken to any safe place for further investigation.

The new development is already interested in the police in Tokyo, where the drones are planned to be used to protect strategically important facilities.
