Final FPV races in Kiev UADR Challenge 2018 Stage 4: CHAIKA

The final 4th stage of the Ukrainian Drone Racing Championship UADR Challenge 2018 was held on August 11-12 again at Chaika airfield in Kiev. During all 4 stages in UADR Challenge 2018 about 70 pilots from all regions of Ukraine took part, which is an undoubted indicator of active development of sport drone racing in our country.

According to the results of all 4 stages, the three best pilots of Ukraine should go under the banners of Team Ukraine to the international competition Drone Sports International (DSI) in South Korea on September 15-16. In turn, the Ukrainian Association of Drone Racing (UADR) will provide full sponsorship and support for the duration of the competition

In a fierce competition the finalists of the UADR Challenge 2018 Stage 4: CHAIKA were:

• 1st place - Modest Ach (Zipper Team)
• 2nd place - Alexander Mazur (QuadRAT)
• 3rd place - Igor Butseroga (Rigid-FPV)
• 4th place - Vyacheslav Gordienko (Air's Crew).

At the end of the stage the scoring table looked as follows:

Thus the top three pilots of Ukraine were determined, who got the right to represent Ukraine at the World Championship, where they will meet the best pilots of the planet at IDSC 2018:

• 1st place - Modest Ach, representative of Lviv Zipper Team. The winner of 2 stages of UADR Challenge 2018 in Kherson and Kharkiv, as well as a bronze medalist in last year's season UADR Challenge 2017.
• 2nd place - Oleksandr Mazur, pilot from Borispol, member of Kyiv QuadRAT team. He took the third place in the Kherson stage and the second place in the final Kyiv stage, but according to the total number of points he got silver in UADR Challenge 2018.
• 3rd place went to Vyacheslav Gordienko from Air's Crew Zaporozhye. Despite the fact that the third place was shared by 3 competitors at once - Vyacheslav Gordienko, Igor Butseroga and Ivan Oleynik, it was Vyacheslav who got the lucky ticket, as he won the Kharkiv stage without any reservations, and the other two pilots could not win in any of the stages. It is worth mentioning that a member of Air's Crew is Nikolay Podakov, who became the winner of the Ukrainian Drone Racing Championship in 2017.

In the team competition, as well as last year, the most numerous QuadRAT team won, and Zipper Team and Air's Crew simply swapped places, respectively taking the 2nd and 3rd place.

Ukrainian Drone Racing Championship UADR Challenge 2018 is over, but the life of FPV community does not end here. Follow the news, watch streams and blogs, cheer for the pilots who went to South Korea for IDS 2018!
