Read moreTheFrSky Taranis Q X7 ACC ESS is a new version of radio hardware that features 24 channels with higher data rates and lower latency, thanks to the module's high-speed digital interface with the ACCESS protocol. Like the rest of the ACCESS transmitters, the Q X7 offers secure and reliable connectivity as well as wireless firmware, making it compatible with FrSky's newest line of OTA receivers.
The battery compartment now houses a tray for 2 18650 Li-Ion batteries that can be charged via the Mini USB interface. This tray is removable, so 2S LiPo batteries of the right size can be used.
The new version of the Q X7 ACCESS radio remote control is fully compatible with the new FrSky R9M 2019 ACCESS transmitter module.
FrSky Taranis Q X7 ACCESS is a simplified version of the widely popular Taranis X9D ACCESS radio, just like its counterpart runs on OpenTX firmware.
Q X7 ACCESS does not differ from the previous version ACCST and comes in two color variations: black and white. Taranis Q X7 compared to Taranis X9D is 15mm thinner and 70g lighter. On the back side of the case there are rubber pads for a more comfortable grip.
Overall, the FrSky Taranis Q X7 has the features of more expensive transmitters, but at an unprecedentedly low cost.
Note: please note the new features, benefits and requirements of the ACCESS protocol.
Advanced Communication Control Elevated Spread Spectrum.
ACCESS is FrSky's most advanced protocol to date. Based on the well-known ACCST protocol, ACCESS offers new features such as Smart Share™, Smart Match™ and Trio Control™. Once a receiver is tethered to the radio hardware, it can be re-tethered at any time without having to press the F/S button on the receiver. Model sharing has never been easier. Upgrading has also been simplified, you no longer have to physically connect your receivers to upgrade. In addition, there are new tools such as a spectrum analyzer and power analyzer. Most importantly, the protocol now supports up to 24 channels with increased bit rate, lower latency and improved performance.
Note: X, XM, RX, GX series receivers are gradually being upgraded to the ACCESS protocol, which supports receivers such as XM, RXSR, RX4R, RX6R, G-RX6, G-RX8, XM Plus and R9. For more information, see the ACCESS protocol feature guide on the FrSky website.
What do I do if I have D8 series receivers?
Connect the dedicated FrSky XJT Lite transmitter module to your ACCESS hardware to control quadcopters with D8 series receivers.
