Read moreTheFrSky Taranis X9D Plus 2019 is a redesigned version of the popular FrSky Taranis X9D Plus radio with many changes to both the interface and software.
A new button located on the top panel makes activating launch mode more convenient for DLG pilots. On the panel to the right of the display, instead of a row of buttons, there is now a wheel to make menu navigation easier. The mechanical power lever has been replaced by an electronic button with a built-in LED that changes color depending on the radio's battery status.
The radio can now be charged via the mini-USB connector when using 2S LiPo or Li-ion batteries. This innovation means that you can recharge the equipment in the field with a paverbank, as well as when connected to a PC and during flights in the simulator.
The upgraded STM32 F407 processor, combined with a redesigned motherboard, further improves computational capabilities and increases storage capacity. The upgrades not only improve LUA scripts, but also optimize overall performance such as voice output.
The new version of the internal radio module supports the latest ACCESS protocol and the older ACCST protocol. The remote now boasts 24 channels with higher data rates and lower latency. Also with the new spectrum analysis feature added to the OpenTX firmware, you can check the radio waves for RF noise.
If you want to use the ACCST protocol, the D16 version is supported, so you can continue to use your existing X-Series receivers without replacing them with new ones. The older D8 version is no longer supported, but the X9D Plus 2019 has a bay for a JR module, so you can install an external XJT or multiprotocol module to communicate with D8 receivers.
The X9D Plus 2019's compatibility with the TBS CrossFire module appears after upgrading to the latest version of OpenTX.
The Frsky Taranis X9D Plus 2019 radio transmitter is available in dark blue, ash white and classic silver colors.
Overall, the FrSky Taranis X9D Plus 2019 gives you even more new features based on the classic Taranis remote control, making it the perfect transmitter for any skill level.
Advanced Communication Control Elevated Spread Spectrum protocol.
ACCESS is FrSky's most advanced protocol to date. Based on the well-known ACCST protocol, ACCESS offers new features such as Smart Share™, Smart Match™ and Trio Control™. Once a receiver is tethered to the radio hardware, it can be re-tethered at any time without having to press the F/S button on the receiver. Model sharing has never been easier. Upgrading has also been simplified, you no longer have to physically connect your receivers to upgrade. In addition, new tools such as spectrum analyzer and power analyzer are new. Most importantly, the protocol now supports up to 24 channels with increased bit rate, lower latency and improved performance.
Note: X, XM, RX, GX series receivers are gradually being upgraded to the ACCESS protocol, which supports receivers such as XM, RXSR, RX4R, RX6R, G-RX6, G-RX8, XM Plus and R9. For more information, see the ACCESS protocol features guide on the FrSky website.
