Caddx has developed a dangerous competitor to the RunCam Split Mini, the new Caddx Turtle V2 course split HD camera. This 12-gram 2-in-1 kit is capable of broadcasting an analog FPV signal while simultaneously recording full HD video in 1080p 60fps via the built-in microDVR.
The camera comes with a full-size Turbo Eye 1.8mm lens. FPV video has a 155-degree field of view, while HD video recording has a 165-degree field of view.
The Caddx Turtle is equipped with a 1/2.7" CMOS sensor with 800TVL resolution.
The camera is connected to the main PCB board using a DJI type ribbon cable.
Users who are constantly questioning whether or not to use an action camera on their quadcopter may find this option perfect for their needs, especially the camera will be of interest to those who are interested in reducing the weight of their drone but still have HD video capability.
Features of the V2 version include.
Improved Turbo Eye lens
More streamlined PCB layout and 20 x 20mm mounting holes
Built-in microphone
The cable connecting the camera to the board is protected by a special heat shrink cable.
Improved default image settings
16:9 or 4:3 screen resolution selection function
Includes a bracket for mounting the camera on different types of frames
