Matek M10Q-5883GPS module uses GNSS based on the original u-bloxSAM-M10Q-00B chip with support for simultaneous reception of four GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou). Provides excellent sensitivity and acquisition time for all GNSS L1 signals. The integrated high gain GNSS RHCP patch antenna provides the best balance between performance and compact size. Notes
Compass calibration (horizontal position): it is strongly recommended not to tilt the compass!
INAV/BetaFLight: the compass arrow is pointing forward, set the angle to 270° clockwise when the flight controller arrow is pointing forward.
INAV/BetaFLight: compass arrow points backward, set the angle to 90° clockwise when the flight controller arrow points forward.
Ardupilot/Mission Planner: Rotation "None"
Make sure the compass/magnetometer is 10 cm away from power lines/controllers/motors/iron-based materials.
The UBlox NEO-M9N, MAX-M10S, SAM-M10Q series do not have built-in flash data memory. When the GNSS power is turned off and the supercapacitor is discharged, the settings will revert to default values.
The UBX protocol is bidirectional. The flight controller firmware can change the GPS settings via the UBX protocol. You do not need to set the GNSS module parameters in u-center.
The default configuration on the SAM-M10Q with ublox FW 5.1 is simultaneous reception of GPS, Galileo, GLONASS and BeiDou B1C with QZSS and SBAS enabled.
The M10Q-5883 provides the ability to reset the receiver. Shorting the "RST" contact pad to ground for at least 100 ms will cause a cold start. A RESET will erase all information and cause a cold start. It should only be used as a recovery option. If you are sure the wiring and settings are OK, but the flight controller cannot detect the GNSS module (gray GPS icon), try a reset.
Scratches on the ceramic antenna are the result of antenna tuning.
