The SonicModell Binary 1200mm airplane was designed not only for FPV enthusiasts, but also for industrial organizations whose needs require the daily use of drones. These organizations fly several types of gliders (usually very large) and approached SonicModell with a list of requirements to design a new aircraft. They needed something more portable, fully functional, and with less risk in the event of a crash. After one year, SonicModell built several prototypes until they had the perfect balance of each component. Binary has been adopted as a UAV for rapid deployment by 4 different government organizations, 3 private companies (mapping, terrain survey and security surveillance). According to their reports, the Binary has a total of over 375 successful missions (with no loss of aircraft so far), hundreds of hours of training for novice pilots and has proven its effectiveness in the harshest conditions.
