Brand: BetaFPVSKU 15665BetaFPV has developed a new BEC board to create a GoPro Naked from a GoPro HERO8 action camera. The board has a built-in 5V 2A BEC and weighs only about 1.5 grams, making your Naked GoPro very neat and lightweight.
Note: the BEC board for the HERO8 is not suitable for installation in the BetaFPV GoPro Lite V2 case

The two buttons on the BEC board have the same functions as the GoPro buttons:
LED indication
To start using the camera, first connect the GH1.25 connector to the BEC and then apply power to the quadcopter. The LED on the board will blink once, then you must press the power/mode button on the BEC board once to turn on the GoPro Naked HERO8 camera. The LED on the BEC board has the same state as the standard LED on the GoPro motherboard.
How to set up remote recording
In order to use the toggle switch on the radio hardware to start or stop recording video, you need to do some additional customization.
For example, if you are using a BetaFPV F4 FC V2.0 controller in your drone (such as in the BetaFPV 95X series drones), the wiring diagram is shown below. The yellow cable (FC B12 pin pad) is for starting remote recording only.
BetaFPV uses the Pinio function in Betaflight to control the recording. First configure the Pinio function for pin B12 on the FC board.

Next, map one of your radio transmitter's toggle switch channels to the Pinio function (aka USER1). As shown below, map the AUX4 channel in the radio transmitter to the Pinio's USER1. The cursor in the orange area means the button is released, and the white area means the button is pressed. So keep the cursor in the orange zone by default.
Third, check to see if the Pinio function is working. Change the switch and move the cursor from the orange zone to the white zone and finally back to the orange zone. Now you can check the LED status to see if recording is starting. Use the same process to stop recording.
If you are using a 12A F4 AIO FC controller such as on the BetaFPV 85X series drones, you will use the LED_STRIP pin (pin A08) for the Pinio function.

How to screw the BEC board onto the Naked Camera
Note: The Flymod store is not responsible for any tampering or rebuilding of the GoPro Hero.
